I was able to try one on the other day and was genuinely surprised at how well it sat on the wrist. My daily drivers are generally either a SD43 or a Blue Deep Sea and after growing accustomed to wearing them, some of my other Rolex 40MM Sport Watches seem 'inadequate' when I first put them on.. I'm about to take the plunge and only wish a blue, Oyster 2-tone "bluesy" Sky Dweller was available... . The Skydweller is the only Rolex that would be infinitely better if it was thinner. 2mm difference is huge, and at 14mm it’s the main reason why the skydweller isn’t on my list. I really like the annual calendar and how Rolex does this different than anyone else (arguably better). But 14mm is just too thick.
Here are MY thoughts on the Sky-Dweller - - - as far as 'fit.' I have a 326933 Sky-Dweller on the Oyster bracelet (not Jubilee.) It is a rather heavy watch, with the typically Rolex-sized and protruding rear cover. It also has a rather narrow bracelet, IMHO.
When in the metal, and when being worn, the twotone is at it's best. Sure it may look odd or somewhat guady in pics, but in truth, it is far from that. I might even say that the twotone sky dweller is probably the best looking Rolex that is actually attainable. The Sky Dweller is a large watch, and I even consider it massive, especially when comparing it down to the datejust and day-date family. This is literally the largest watch from Rolex that incorporates the fluted bezel, and the 42mm dimension alone is probably misleading.
