If it is running but the seconds hand isn't moving, realistically you're just looking at the wrong hand. This is typical for people not familiar with the daytona, or chronographs in general. The large hand at 12 o'clock is the chronograph seconds hand, and only starts moving when you press the start button. The VERY LONG seconds hand pointing and "stuck" at 12 o'clock is a chrono seconds hand that will not move on a chrono watch until you press the top chrono button. On the ARF, the OTHER chrono features are frozen at 3 and 9 o'clock.
