Does anyone have any insight into the effects of chlorine on a watch? I'm specifically talking about regularly swimming in a chlorinated pool. I know chlorine is bad for gold but what about other materials or the bezel? We looked at some watches and the girl caught the cloudiness of my watch and immediately asked about the moisture and literally told me exactly what I was experiencing. I was shocked how much she knew from a 1/2 second glance of my wrist.
True, it is water “resistant”, but it’s not waterproof. There’s no actual benefit to leaving it on around water with potential submersion, only risk.
