A forum for the discussion of 'vintage' model Rolex watches and related items. I have never found any Rolex watches available for sale until a couple of weeks ago while in Paris. The Rolex store at the Place Vendome offered me 1. Submariner yellow gold black bezel, oyster 2. Skydweller in white gold with black band, and 3. Skydweller in white gold Rolesor. Bad experience with Swiss watch expo. Hi-I purchased a watch from Swiss watch expo (via eBay) Thank god! Swiss watch said watch was unworn (Rolex datejust 36) eBay authentication came back and said watch was worn-that scratches had been highly polished out and that lugs were scratched-.

I sold all my 32xx based Rolex watches because they all have the "dreaded curse". I will come back to getting another Rolex watch (I just have one at the moment). I have an Exp II with a 3187 movement .. All these modern Rolex Chronometer grade movements are all equally capable with some care and attention paid to regulation. The 32xx movements have an extremely large question mark hanging over them as it currently stands. I have seen all three models of the Cubitus in person, in three different ADs. Among the three, I have tried on the platinum model, without the protective film wrapping, in a grey store. Two reasons: the same movement can be placed in a GMT Master II case in precious metal and Rolex will make far more money. Second, the hefty MSRP increase a few days ago. The 226570 was one of the biggest increases.
